St Philip's School are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Child Care Workers to provide support, nurture, care and assistance to our vulnerable young people. The ideal candidates will have experience working with children within residential care and possess strong communication skills. These roles are essential in ensuring that each young person receives the care and support they require to flourish as they transition into independent adulthood.
St Philip's School provides specialist Residential Care and Education to young people aged 10 – 18 years, who have a range of additional support needs, including social, emotional and behavioural development.
We are recruiting for our services within our Community Houses in Lanark as well as our Campus in Plains, Airdrie.
Current vacancies include Dayshift/Backshift, Nightshift and Sessional posts to suit all lifestyles of applicants.
Ideal applicants will have knowledge of the care planning process and case working and be willing to go the extra mile in supporting our young people. You will ensure that your practice complies with policy and procedures, trauma informed principles and in line with regulatory, statutory requirements as well as The Promise.
Successful candidates should have HNC Social Care/SVQ 3 or working towards this.
Successful applicants will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the first three months of employment.
Applicants with a current UK Driving License would be desirable for our Airdrie Campus. For our community services in South Lanarkshire it is essential applicants have a current UK Driving License and own personal transport.
