About Us
The Wilverley Association has been proudly supporting older people since 1964. We operate warm, welcoming homes where residents love to live and staff love to work. Our Brockenhurst home offers high-quality residential and dementia care for up to 40 residents. We’re now looking for an experienced, personable, and professional Weekend Receptionist/Administrator to be the welcoming face of our home.
About the Role
As the first point of contact, you’ll create a warm and professional welcome for all visitors, residents, and colleagues. This is a varied and busy role that blends front-of-house duties with essential administration tasks. You’ll need to be adaptable, organised, and able to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a friendly, calm approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
- Answer telephone calls and emails promptly and courteously.
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Distribute incoming post and manage outgoing mail.
- Liaise with a variety of people, including residents, relatives, the CEO, Trustees, healthcare professionals, and contractors.
- Maintain a tidy, organised reception area.
- Support infection control, health and safety, and GDPR compliance.
- Carry out general administrative tasks as required.
About You
- Essential: Previous experience in a busy receptionist role.
- Desirable: Experience in a care home or healthcare setting.
- Friendly, welcoming, and professional with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology and embracing new systems.
- Organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, adaptable, and ready to suggest improvements to processes.
- Discreet and respectful when handling confidential information.
