Overview
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Secretary to join its busy Property team. The ideal candidate will possess audio typing skills, strong organisational skills and a passion for supporting and assisting clients. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes within the property field and providing exceptional service to clients.
Duties:
Preparing correspondence and documents via digital dictation / audio typing
Assisting and supporting a Property Solicitor and performing various administrative duties
Typing legal documents and correspondence
Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch
Telephone liaison with clients, estate agents, solicitors and third parties
Organising diary appointments using Microsoft Outlook
Maintaining organised files
Dealing with simple telephone enquiries
Daily filing of paperwork
Opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
Flexible to cover other legal secretaries.
Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience as a Secretary - legal/estate agency/property management experience is required
- IT proficiency
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent copy or audio typing skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You will need to be IT literate, able to work as part of a team but also proactively under your own initiative.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling incoming calls and liaising with clients or other professionals.
