Property Licensing Assistant

COVENTRY CITY COUNCIL
£25,183 - £28,624 a year
Coventry, England
About the team we are recruiting to

Coventry is expanding with a growing population, a buoyant and increasing private rented sector. A key strategic priority for the Council is to therefore keep residents safe and tackle poor housing conditions.

The Council currently responds to complaints in the Private Rented Sector and implements the Mandatory and Additional HMO licensing schemes to deal with issues caused by the poor management of privately rented HMO properties. These services and schemes offer an opportunity to work in a busy high-profile environment dealing with the inspection and enforcement of all private rented homes, HMOs and HMO licensing.

We value diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create a workplace culture that is inclusive, is accepting of all and is free from discrimination and bias.

This is an administrative role that will be hybrid working, with the majority of the time working from home.

Some of the tasks involved are:

  • Inputting data into software and updating records

  • Putting together legal documents and ensuring these are served correctly.
