Job Title: Project Delivery Lead

Salary: £54,793 + dependant on experience
What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of a discrete subset of IT capability as part of the wider delivery of the Secure Digital Platform (SDP). The SDP is a key ‘enabler’ of the wider Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
The role requires you to work closely with Product Owners, Technical leads, Solution Architects and the Project Management & Project Control teams to agree and define the scope of work to be undertaken, and to coordinate the delivery of discrete elements of the overall IT solution into the wider GCAP Programme.
You will be required to liaise with other Product Teams and IS/IT vendors and suppliers to identify dependencies and assumptions, track progress against the programme schedule and report status and any issues arising against the associated delivery milestones.
The role requires coordination of activities across several international Product Teams, each of which includes representatives from the GCAP partner nations i.e. UK, Italy and Japan. Occasional work visits to the partner nations may be required.
You will be responsible for defining and managing project Risk, within the context of the overall Programme Risk Management Plan. This will include the definition and execution of risk mitigation strategies and actions, as required.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Experience of managing IS/IT projects throughout the project lifecycle i.e. requirements capture, design, implementation, integration, test and acceptance and service transition.
Comfortable working in Waterfall and/or Agile and Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
A strong understanding of Commercial and Finance process and budget management.
Delivery and reporting of operational performance information for your assigned area of responsibility.
Desirable:
Ideally professional PM Qualification (e.g. APM, PMQ)Flexibility and resilience required to work within a multi-national team.
Strong interpersonal skills: able to build trust and manage stakeholder expectations.
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Secure Digital Platform Team
The Secure Digital Platform (SDP) team are part of the ‘Enablers’ workstream for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). The SDP team are responsible for delivering an Advanced Collaborative Working Environment (ACWE) at a number of discrete locations in the UK and internationally, which will enable the aircraft and systems engineers and supporting functions to develop the next generation of combat aircraft and operational support systems.
The ACWE will provide GCAP users with network access to a suite of desktop applications and digital services to work collaboratively across three nations, namely Italy, Japan and the UK.
The role is UK based and, as part of a multi-function team, it requires regular collaboration with colleagues from organisations within the participating partner nations and other national companies.
