Who we are supporting
The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:
- Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
- Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.
- Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
- Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
- Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.

Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.
To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.

Role Background
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), headquartered in The Hague, The Netherlands, is actively involved in developing innovative joint capabilities and services for NATO, the United Kingdom (GBR), and other partner entities, while also maintaining and supporting existing systems. Within this context, the C2 Centre seeks an experienced Project Coherence Administrator to support critical NATO initiatives. This role entails supporting the NCIA Liaison Officer for Defence Digital (DD) in GBR/NCIA joint ventures, serving as a deputy focal point within MOD Corsham for NCIA/NATO activities, and aiding the coordination of NATO Software Tools (NST) partnerships and project support efforts.
The primary objectives include assisting in the development and validation of Command and Control (C2) services’ requirements, architectural artifacts, and technical specifications. The role also involves supporting NATO’s federation information sharing concepts, facilitating interoperability exercises, and providing technical expertise in areas such as identity and access management security, Data Management, message transformation and standardization. This position is crucial for ensuring the coherence, security, and interoperability of NATO’s evolving C2 and data-sharing capabilities.
Role Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide input and update the GBR BI Weekly Project meeting documentation.
- Coordinate UK-NCIA-NST workshops and planning meetings.
- Support the embedded LO in development of current and future capabilities and services.
- Provide ad-hoc project management / leadership duties (where agreed by the LO).
- Provide input to, and coordinate, timetabling / diary activities between themselves and the LO.
- Act as the deputy embedded LO in the absence of the LO
Essential Skills, Experience and Certifications
- Minimum 5 years knowledge of Defence Digital (DD) Corsham activates (including Commination Information & System (CIS) delivery mechanisms, Support mechanisms, Network compliance) and structure.
- Hold NATO CTS.
- Minimum 5 years experience in working with NATO/NCIA particularly in problem management, assurance of services and Crypto delivery.
- Proven ability to negotiate with Project teams, chair/administrate and participate in Capability Planning meetings.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office productivity tools (Office/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team.
- Fluent business English and the ability to present when called upon to do so.
