Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant
- Support class teachers with engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support, including with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support literacy, numeracy, and creative learning activities.
- Assist with school trips, classroom resources, and extracurricular activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or classroom support experience is desirable but not essential.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are an advantage but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, patience, and teamwork.
- Attributes: Enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the primary curriculum or SEN support is beneficial.
