Summary:
Lewisham Council is seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of the Total Mobile Connect implementation programme. The postholder will manage end-to-end programme delivery, ensuring alignment with the Councils housing repairs service objectives and wider digital transformation agenda. This is a senior interim role requiring strong expertise in IT-enabled business change, with a particular focus on housing repairs, customer service improvement, and operational efficiency.
The Programme Manager will be responsible for driving collaboration across IT, housing, and contractor teams to ensure that solutions are implemented on time, within budget, and deliver measurable business benefits to residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, delivery, and governance of the Total Mobile Connect implementation, ensuring smooth integration with housing repairs and associated systems.
- Develop and manage programme plans, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring clear milestones, risk management, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure robust governance, reporting, and compliance with Council standards, including data protection, procurement, and financial regulations.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies across the programme and lead the resolution/escalation process.
- Support post-implementation review, ensuring that business benefits are realised and embedded into housing service operations.
Essentials:
- Proven track record as a senior IT Programme Manager delivering large-scale business change and system implementation projects within the public sector or housing environment.
- Strong expertise in Total Mobile Connect (or equivalent mobile workforce solutions) implementation
- Extensive experience of housing repairs service processes and IT systems, with the ability to translate operational needs into IT solutions.
