Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy team.
Reporting to the Orders Supervisor, you will primarily be responsible for picking and packing incoming orders, as well as organising the TORQ event vehicles, general warehouse and production duties.
You will need to be confident communicating by email and telephone and be able to correspond with customers politely and effectively, providing a first-class customer service experience at all times, managing customer questions and queries in a timely manner.
The business can be fast paced and therefore we are looking for a candidate with stamina and energy. An enthusiastic, friendly, and positive attitude is essential to working within a close-knit team with varied tasks and responsibilities, so flexibility and an open mind is essential.
Duties could include:
- Process incoming orders
- Picking and Packing orders
- Restocking and organising event vehicles
- Assembly and fulfilment of smaller product lines
- General production of bulk product lines
- Goods in/Out
- Updating IT systems to ensure accurate stock control and assist with stock takes
- Telephone and email enquiries
- Updating daily reports and collation of paperwork, filing and general admin duties
- Ensure all health and safety regulations within the company are adhered to
- General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area
Knowledge and Skills:
- Physical activity, some heavy manual lifting involved and you will be on your feet all day
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time keeping and attendance
- Be able to move between jobs easily
- Have a proactive attitude and enjoy being busy
- IT literate with the ability and willingness to learn inhouse systems, such as Order Processing, Stock management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fork lift license useful, but not essential
Full time hours : Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Starting Salary: Starting Salary £12.82 - Dependant on age and experience
IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.82 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
