Role Information
This is an exciting opportunity to join LCG at a pivotal moment as we roll out a brand-new procurement system. You’ll play a key role in its integration, with early access to expert-led training from our consultants, giving you a deep understanding of the system from day one. As a strategic partner to the business, you’ll help shape and deliver our group-wide procurement strategy, and this role offers real scope for growth and development.

DUTIES
- Manage procurement activities across several diverse categories, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and support the lead stakeholder / contract holder with negotiations / tenders / contracts and to help LCG secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Support the optimisation of procurement strategies and cost saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Legal Manager and the Finance Department to review contract terms, assess risks, and propose amendments or renewals as necessary.
- Support the Legal Manager with maintaining accurate records of contract status, renewals, and amendments for effective contract lifecycle management.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as the Executive team, department heads and finance.
- Maintain the preferred supplier list.
- Support the collection of procurement related spend for government mandated reporting (such as Environmental Social Governance). Analyse the data providing any key insights to the Head of Risk / Group Financial Manager.
- Assist the finance team in budget planning and forecasting by providing insights into procurement expenditures, cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the contract holder with the supplier performance e.g. providing any relevant data they may require with any analysis undertaken.
- Ensure that the procurement software system, Sysynkt is used effectively and efficiently across the business.
- Ensure compliance with the Procurement Policy.
- Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours

EXPERIENCE
At least two years experience in a Procurement role
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Good understanding of the procurement processes and supplier relationship management
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
