Responsibilities:
- Provide in home support for a female young adult with multiple physical and learning disabilities plus epilepsy
- Administer medication as directed by a healthcare professional
- Carry out directed physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy programmes
- Assist in all aspects of personal care, daily routine, transfers and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Respect and uphold the rights of the client and home environment
- Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience working with young adults is preferred
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols, epilepsy management and personal care is a plus
- Familiarity with tracking hoists, walking aids and transfer devices is preferred
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license - essential
- Strong cleaning and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects
