We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented Housekeepers / Home Helpers to join our friendly and supportive team at Extra Help Cotswold. This flexible, self-employed role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, organised homes and enjoy supporting people in their day-to-day lives.
You’ll be assisting clients with a wide range of housekeeping and domestic tasks, with a strong focus on cleaning, tidying, laundry, and home organisation. Many of our clients are busy families, professionals, or older individuals who value consistency, discretion, and a caring touch.
You’ll have the freedom to choose your hours, making this role an ideal fit around your lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidying, organising spaces, making beds, changing linens, ironing and folding clothes
- Provide laundry support, including sorting, washing, drying, and putting away laundry and towels
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming home environment to suit each client's standards
- A flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to different client preferences, routines, and household requirements
- Prepare simple meals and assist with grocery shopping (optional)
- Tasks may also include running errands, collecting prescriptions, supporting clients attend appointments, assisting with light admin, offering friendly company and conversation, or pet care.

- Someone who takes pride in attention to detail and keeping a home looking its best
- A warm, trustworthy person with a professional and discreet approach
- Empathy and patience to understand the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexible, self-motivated and dependable
- Confident working independently in private homes
- Driving licence and own car essential
- A clear DBS check and personal liability insurance (or willingness to obtain both)
- Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, care, or domestic work is welcome but not essential
