Ashden House are looking to recruit a part time Estate Groundsperson to support the Head Gardener in the maintenance of its beautiful gardens which enjoy outstandings views across the Romney marsh.
The role will include mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, weeding, light maintenance and general estate hand type work.
The ideal candidate must have experience of a similar role, a driving licence, a positive attitude and be happy to do repetitive, physical tasks in all weathers. This role also requires good communication skills, the ability to use your initiative and being happy to muck-in wherever needed.
Some plant & gardening knowledge is desirable.
Initially 2 days a week but possibly increasing to 3 days per week depending on skills and seasonal demand.
**Applications from Freelance Gardeners/Garden Maintenance providers will also be considered.**
In return we offer:
- £14-£15 per hour (employed rate) depending on experience. **Rates subject to agreement for Freelance Contractors.
