Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Polisher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using various power and hand tools to achieve high-quality finishes on metal and other materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
Duties
- Operate polishing machines and equipment to finish products according to specifications.
- Use power tools and hand tools for fabrication, assembly, and tooling processes.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to polishing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Assist in the welding process as needed, ensuring proper techniques are applied.
- Utilise SolidWorks for design modifications when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating power tools and hand tools.
- Familiarity with logic controllers is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to polishing tasks.
- Experience in fabricating components and assembling parts is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is beneficial but not essential.
