The Role:
Policy & Standards Specialist is an experienced role supporting the Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead, with responsibility to manage the implementation and management of Group-Wide policies and standards within the Life business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide regular updates to the Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead on team activities, key initiatives, and emerging risks or trends.
- Provide input into Group-wide financial crime standards.
- Coordinate with the 1LoD Life FCO and business teams to ensure the effective implementation of Group Policy and Standards into financial crime operational processes.
- Manage 1LoD escalations and queries related to Policies and Standards and seek advice and guidance from the 2LoD Life Advisory team where required.
- Request, manage, track, renew, escalate and keep audit of rationale for BU Policy waivers, dispensations and exemptions.
- Coordinate with the 1LoD Life FCO and business teams to ensure the effective implementation of changes required in line with updates to the Group Policies or Standards.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience within / understanding of operational financial crime teams.
- Experience in overseeing the implementation of financial crime frameworks within operational financial crime teams.
- Significant experience within financial crime, including Asset management sector knowledge and understanding of financial crime laws and regulations in the context of the sector.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders within the financial crime and business teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex information to stakeholders at all level.
