The project: The successful candidate will be a respected senior leader working within the health, life sciences & technology sector (H, LS&T) and part of the PMO and planning centre of excellence (CoE) community, interfacing between the two. earlier this year we saw the amalgamation of the pharmaceutical, health and technology sectors under one new leadership, with a view to driving sharper focus and more effective delivery through collaboration and sharing of ideas and resources. this presents an exciting opportunity to combine accountability in this leadership role with working on assignments and will be supported by PMO and project controls sponsors within the respective sub-markets.
Subject matter expert and leader for PMO and project controls services within assigned hub(s) supporting the development of high performing teams, best in class service delivery and effective engagement with wider industry and professional bodies to promote mace and ensure that service offering continues to meet and exceed client expectations whilst outperforming competitors.

- Bid management - leadership of all PMO content within bids in the H, LS&T Sectors.
- Opportunity generation and client satisfaction - working collaboratively with the Market leadership team to improve client satisfaction, generate prospects and secure opportunities.
- Fixing challenges - resolution of any PMO performance issues within the H, LS&T sectors.
- You will be responsible for project budgets and ensure operations are fiscally and ethically viable and meet organisational and legislative compliance obligations.
- You will support the operations director and other senior stakeholders to directly influence long term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
- You will commit to making a positive impact for our people, our clients, and our planet, and take ownership for holding others to account who do not uphold the Mace values.
- You will lead your team effectively and develop others to reach their full potential.
- You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre and knowledge hub.
- You will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, up to C-Suite, to implement and manage our programmes.
You’ll need to have:
- Mastery in delivery of relevant service.
- In depth knowledge of Mace procedures by role.
- Awareness of contract & commercial procedures and hub P&L.
- Experience across a number of market sectors.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentational) skills, alongside the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful/actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Up to date on key tools available in the market in the service delivery arena.
- Achieved membership/fellow/certified fellow status with one or more professional institutions.
- External networking, collaboration & business development skills. May represent Mace on professional institution/industry wide committees/boards.
- Able to engage, motivate and coach others at all levels. Building and managing teams, role modelling with inspirational and inclusive leadership.
- Able to persuade and influence at all levels, be an active member of the H, LS&T leadership team and to delegate tasks to others.
