We are looking for a hardworking, reliable individual to operate our plasma machine.
Working Hours:
The position is working Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays, on our late shift: 4.00pm – 1.00am (paid at a rate of time and a quarter due to some hours being unsociable)
Responsibilities:
- Learning the skills needed to become a Plasma Machine Operator.
- Operating various machinery including CNC plasma cutters.
- Working as a team and helping skilled fabricators with tasks at hand.
- General workshop duties inc. guillotine cutting sheet metal.
- Working with other skilled staff members and learning from them, with on the job training.
- Adhering to Health & Safety Regulations.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail to ensure quality.
- Ability to follow Health and Safety regulations.
- Teamwork.
- Accurate measuring ability.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Experience of using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in maths preferred but not essential.
