About the role
The Machine Operator (MO) will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager (SM) in the on-site delivery of remediation and enabling works projects. The role will include operation of earthmoving machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers and bulldozers as required and in line with operator competencies.
Key responsibilities
The Machine Operator will work closely with the SM and CM on a daily basis, taking instruction and guidance as required to complete a variety of site based key tasks. There will include, but not be limited to:
- Excavator operation (up to 50T machine)
- Crusher/Screener operation
- Dump Truck operation (up to 30T)
- Roller operation (up to 18T)
- Bulldozer operation (up to D7)
- Routine maintenance of plant equipment such as daily machine checks and providing completed forms to the site manager
- Reporting servicing requirements, defects, or maintenance issues of plant equipment to the site manager
- Expectation of working away from home to support project delivery
About you
- CPCS/NPORS qualified
- Industry standard qualified to work safely on site and with asbestos in soil (CAT B)
- CSCS card
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with external and internal contacts
- Able to work in a dynamic team environment
- Flexible approach to work and location
- Able to take instruction and follow through with actions in a considered and accurate manner
- Presents a professional image at all times
- Full driving license
