We are seeking a Machine Operator for the production of a wide range of polythene bag and blown film extrusion lines.
The candidate will be trained to run various bag and extrusion machines . The candidate must have a good attitude, close attention to detail, be hardworking, and be a quick learner. The job entails moderate lifting and standing on your feet for long hours. This job is ideal for candidates willing to work long hours and put in hard work in return for a decent pay packet. There is progression for good candidate to learn other machineries in the factory.
This position is for the regular day shift, candidate can choose to work 5 or 4 days per week from Monday to Friday 7 am to 7 pm (57.5hrs/46hrs per week). We offer starting salary of £12.25 per hour .This gives an opportunity to earn £29,302(4 days/week) to £36,627 (5 days/week) per year for someone looking to put hours.
Ideally the candidate should have at least 1 year of experience working in a factory environment and operating machinery. Candidates with previous polythene industry experience will be reviewed with greater interest.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read and understand job specs
- Load the reels on the machine
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculation
- Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Set up the machine to accommodate job orders and specs
- Conduct machine adjustments as needed to meet customer specs
- Fill in the job sheet and sign first off quality checks
- Ensure desired output is achieved with robust quality
- Performs regular checks for compliance to customer specs and quality standards
- Identify and promptly report to supervisor equipment malfunction, material, safety, and or quality issues.
- Work closely with other members of the team to assure a cooperative and friendly atmosphere with regard to the daily activities of the production
- Perform special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel or management.
