Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a pharmacy dispenser/counter assistant to join our team. Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given via Buttercup Training Course. The position can be full or part time and is a permanent position.
The dispenser will work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and will carry out day to day activities which include:
Assembling and labelling of prescribed medication
Providing advice and selling over the counter medication
Assisting in providing pharmacy services such as smoking cessation, Pharmacy First and Chronic Medication Service
Stock management which will include ordering, unpacking and storage.
The ideal candidate must be computer literate, have experience with working in a customer focused environment and be willing to learn.
The hours are over Monday-Saturday and will be discussed with the successful candidate. The candidate should be flexible to cover holidays and sickness.
The pay rate will be based on current experience and training.
