Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders and maintain proper documentation.
- Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of essential medications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Support patient care initiatives by addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills, ensuring accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
- Use of Atlas e-MAR desired but not essential.
- Minimum of 2 years RECENT experience in pharmacy.
- Part time work MAY be considered.
