We are looking for an experienced Dispensing Pharmacist to join our growing team at Montu Pharmacy, where innovation, patient care, and clinical excellence come together. Based in our dispensary in Winnersh, you will play a key role in the safe, compliant, and efficient supply of controlled drug prescriptions. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a patient-first approach that ensures the highest standard of pharmaceutical care.
About the role:
A Dispensary Pharmacist will be responsible for supervising and managing the dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensuring compliance with stringent regulations, and delivering outstanding patient care. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who is committed to excellence in pharmacy operations.
Key responsibilities:
Clinically check prescriptions for Controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis
Ensure timely availability and dispatch of medicines for patients.
Comply with all regulatory requirements for ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines.
Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards.
Provide patient counselling on the safe use of medicines, including specialised equipment.
Offer guidance to prescribers to minimise supply disruptions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant supply chains.
Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining security and supervising pharmacy staff.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to manage safe prescribing practices.
Maintain electronic health records and implement regulatory changes.
Support governance and operational teams to ensure GPhc and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to the efficient running of pharmacy services through stock monitoring and audits.
What we are looking for:
UK-qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC number.
CPD-accredited medical cannabis education preferred (training provided if necessary).
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
High attention to detail and self-motivation.
Strong communication and computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Confidence in interacting with patients remotely and in person.

Ability to work efficiently in an agile, fast paced environment that is growing rapidly
