Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure that all prescriptions are filled in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries related to medications, usage, and side effects.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and labelling medications for distribution.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy.
- Participate in medication administration as required, ensuring that patients receive their medications safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of medication administration practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an advantage.
