Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy and Optical Assistant to join our team at Werrington Pharmacy and Opticians in Peterborough. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent patient care, contributing to our commitment to health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and managing inventory
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
- Assist with medication administration under pharmacist supervision
- Educate patients on medication usage and health products
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards
- Support daily pharmacy operations and workflow
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- 25 hours per week including Saturday
- Able to deliver excellent, friendly customer service working in a very fast-paced, stand-up job in a productive setting.
- Multitasking which is a necessity for the majority of the time.
- Very quick learner and fast-paced worker.
- The work will also involve assisting in our opticians department.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
