We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant/Dispenser/Receptionist to join our team in providing high-quality eye care services. Applicant must have a minimum one years experience of working in an optical practice and want to expand their knowledge and skills further within the profession. The role involves supporting optometrists and opticians in delivering exceptional vision care to patients.
Duties
- Assisting with pre-screening tests and measurements
- Conducting visual field tests
- Managing patient records and appointments
- Supporting in the selection and fitting of eyewear
- Providing guidance on lens selection and frame styling and dispense
- Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the optical dispensary
- Liaising with suppliers for orders and repairs
Experience
- Previous experience in an optical setting is required
- Knowledge of anatomy and laboratory procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential
