Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and compassionate female Personal Assistant to join a team in providing care and support to a lady with spinal cord injury in her home. This is a full-time position, though 2 part time positions would be considered, working a variety of shifts to include days, nights and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, ensuring their well-being and will ideally possess a minimum of two years care experience. The client has three dogs so a dog lover is essential for this role. Additionally, our client travels quite a lot and you must therefore be willing to go away for weekends or 1-2 weeks with her when required.
A full clean driving license is a pre-requisite for all applying.
The role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS)
Responsibilities
- Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support client with mobility needs and transfers
- Assist with light household tasks as needed, including helping out with the dogs
- Maintain accurate records/case notes relating to care plans
-Willingness to travel with client and be away from home for up to 2 weeks as required
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a care home environment is essential
- Experience of working with spinal cord injury is preferred though training will be given
- Familiarity with supporting a wheelchair user
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written

Rates of pay:
£14.50 per hour Day Shift
£80.00 for Sleep Shift
£160 for Wake Shift
