Prioritise and respond to strategy meeting invitations as advised by the relevant Practices Safeguarding Lead/GP. Respond to, and at times attend, child protection meetings as advised by the relevant Practices Safeguarding Lead/GP, prepare appropriate documentation and/or send apologies as required. Organise internal Safeguarding meetings for each Practice, preparing lists of patients for discussion, coordinating communication and invitations with third parties (e.g. health visitors, social workers, MASH, schools), taking minutes, updating patient records and coordinating any follow up actions.
Work with the PCN practices to ensure that their safeguarding policies and procedures are up to date and consistent with agreed best practices, as defined by local and national guidelines. Provide training support to the PCN practices and PCN staff. Contribute to data collection and audit to improve standards for safeguarding practice across the PCN.
