MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Herefordshire Dial A Ride minibus service.
The role of Passenger Assistant will be to support SEN passengers during transportation from their homes to a school/college and other destinations as is necessary. Successful candidates will need to have good communication skills, demonstrate an understanding of disability issues, and display a caring, patient and level headed attitude in the delivery of the service.
Working hours are from 7am to 9am Monday to Friday mornings and 3pm to 5pm Monday to Friday afternoons.
We would consider job share i.e. one person working a morning shift and another person working afternoon shift.
Staff have to attend the following: Passenger Assistant days training, a first aid course and an epilepsy course.
An enhanced DBS is required for this post which the charity will pay for.
