Part-Time Sports Coach (Netball, Hockey, Football or Dance)
Hours: 4 hours per week, one day per week between 14:20 – 17:20 (specific day to be agreed), plus the possibility of further ‘ad-hoc’ work when cover is required.
Contract Type: Part-Time / Term-Time Only. Hourly rate to be discussed.
Job Description:
Windermere School is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and inspirational Sports Coach to deliver high-quality sessions in one or more of the following disciplines: Netball, Hockey, Football or Dance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a coach who is passionate about sport and youth development, and who is excited to work in the stunning surroundings of the Lake District with motivated students.

The successful candidate will work with students of varying abilities, helping them to develop their skills, confidence and love for sport in a safe and engaging environment.
This role is ideal for someone who has either played or coached at a competitive level and is committed to inspiring young people through sport.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver engaging and structured coaching sessions in one or more of the following areas: Netball, Hockey, Football or Dance
· Create a supportive and motivating learning environment, tailored to the needs and abilities of all students
· Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
· Promote teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition
· Follow our standard operating procedures and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all participants
· Set up and pack down equipment before and after sessions
· Work collaboratively with the PE Department to support Windermere School’s commitment to physical education and holistic learning
· Assist in the preparation and delivery of inter-school fixtures and events where appropriate
Essential Requirements:
· Recognised coaching qualification (Level 1 or above) in Netball, Hockey, Football or Dance
· Experience coaching or playing your chosen sport at a competitive level
· Proven experience working with secondary school-age children
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· A proactive, enthusiastic and professional approach to coaching
· Ability to motivate and inspire students of all skill levels
· Organised, professional and self motivated
· An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
· First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
· Flexibility to support with occasional fixtures, tournaments or school events
· Multi-sport coaching experience or the ability to coach more than one discipline
· Flexibility and willingness to support with fixtures, tournaments or school events.
· Awareness of the PE curriculum at secondary level
