Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for golf, as well as the ability to effectively upsell products and services.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs in a friendly manner.
- Manage the sales of golf merchandise, including equipment and accessories.
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills.
- Maintain an organised and tidy shop environment, ensuring displays are appealing.
- Answer phone calls professionally, providing information about services and taking bookings.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Provide information about golf clubs, latest releases and trends in the industry.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in golf retail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly desirable.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Must be a keen golfer with a passion for the equipment side of the game and be able to sell golf equipment to golfers of all levels.
- Can regrip and repair golf clubs.
