Job Title: Part Time Finance and Administration Assistant

Location: Heath Farm College, Maidstone ME16 0ER

Salary: £19,500.00 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time plus 2 weeks

Start: September 2025

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance and Administration Assistant to join our close-knit team at Heath Farm College, part of Acorn Education.

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance and Admin Assistant to work as a member of the Administration Team and assist the College Administrator, the Head of College and the Heath Farm Business Manager with duties relating to administration and finance. The successful applicant will have the ability to be clear and assertive whilst remaining calm and composed in a variety of situations whilst switching between roles when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Our next Finance and Admin Assistant will provide a range of college office support and reception functions including (but not limited to):

  • Update, modify and retrieve data on both manual and computerised systems, working within appropriate deadlines.
  • Provide support, when required, on reception to ensure a warm welcome for students, parents/carers and visitors to the college, maintaining a positive college image.
  • Produce relevant college documents and type correspondence.
  • Photocopying, laminating, filing, binding etc.
  • Minute taking as required.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes/qualifications

  • A Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Be flexible and approachable
  • The ability to deal sensitively with people and help to resolve conflict

Heath Farm College is an independent specialist sixth form college that caters for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. We offer a unique and stimulating environment where every student is able to make outstanding progress in their personal development and enjoy success in their education.

Heath Farm College is situated in Maidstone and has capacity to support up to 58 students. The provision facilitates a professional post 16 provision for students with EHCPs who are not ready for a large FE college or large school/academy 6th Form provision.
