Do you enjoy working with children and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment? We are looking for a Part-Time Playworker to join our friendly team at our Before and After School Club, supporting children with activities, play, and care outside of school hours.
About the Role
As a Playworker, you’ll:
- Supervise and engage children in a range of activities, from creative play to sports and games
- Help provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
- Support with preparing snacks and setting up/clearing away activities
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic, caring, and enjoys working with children
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Creative and confident in leading play and activities
- A good communicator with children and adults
Qualifications & Experience (desirable but not essential):
- Experience working or volunteering with children (e.g. in schools, childcare, sports, youth clubs)
- Playwork or childcare qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training (training can be provided)
