Happy Smiles is a Day Care & Teaching Nursery with a culture that believes in nurturing and growing a stimulating and enjoyable high quality education through play, care and love. Our Nursery creates a fun learning environment for babies 0-5. We promote care and respect and focus on developing social skills and learning in a well supervised environment.
We now require a Childcare Practitioner to add to our team.
This is an all year round, permanent post. 30 hours per week contracted with available overtime in our toddler room.
Your Key Responsibilities will be:
- Provide high quality childcare
- To be able to work as a team and show a can do attitude.
- To be able to build strong bonds with your key children and their parents.
- Assist on pre-opening stages and support the Senior Management Team.
- To be able to plan and observe for your key children.
Key Qualifications
Full and relevant level 3 or level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
Successful applicants are required to complete an enhanced DBS check or be registered on the update service.
Essential Skills
- Sound understanding of the updated EYFS and an ability to fully implement all of its requirements, including the recent changes.
- Sound understanding of child development and associated theories.
- Ability to work with parents and encourage their involvement.
- Ability to manage a team of adults to deliver high standards and results.
- Commitment to, and understanding of, diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to manage self and work calmly under pressure.
- Demonstrate professionalism in approach to managing all issues.
