Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether in a care home or through home care services. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously while fostering a supportive environment.Please note that this position involves 4 split shifts a day.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management 4 times a day (times to be provided)
- Implement and adhere to individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their mental well-being.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed, contributing to a clean and safe living environment.
Skills
- Proven ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in creating or following care plans is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes is beneficial.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach towards client needs.
