Job Overview
Our factory is expanding and we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator to join our dynamic team of subcontract basis Timber Frame Production Operatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with hand and power tools. As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in the assembly process within our warehouse environment, ensuring that our product is manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Hours of work are between 6am-3pm (however more hours are available upon request). The panels are paid on a price basis, once up to speed your earnings will also rise.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components and products using hand tools and power tools as required.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve workflow.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used during production.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a production or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and schedules.
