Gosforth Central Middle School - Hours - Monday to Friday - Breakfast club 7.00am - 9.00am and Afterschool - 2.50pm - 5.50pm, term time only. There is the potential for different days.
Brilliant opportunity for an immediate start, to join an amazing team to assist the Club Manager in the day to day running of an Out of School Club based in Gosforth Central Middle School, to provide a safe and stimulating play environment for the children attending the club. Whilst working in line with the standards set out by Ofsted and Mr H Out of School Clubs childcare Policies and Procedures.
The role of Club assistant includes -
Assisting in the day to day running of the club, setting up the club and cleaning at the end of each session.
Working in partnership with parents and the Club Manager to plan for the individual needs and preferences of the children.
Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development.
Ensuring that club is welcoming and friendly, while taking into account all health and safety issues.
Preparing and providing the children with a healthy and nutritious snack.
Ensuring that all the policies and risk assessments set out by Gosforth Nursery/Mr H Out of School Club are adhered to at all times.
The successful applicant must hold a Level 2/3 CCLD or Level 2/3 Play work qualification (or above) or equivalent (A levels or above). An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role, which must be on the update service and a current Paediatric First Aid certificate would be advantageous. You will also be required to complete Safeguarding, Prevent, FGM, Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid training (if not in date).
