Operations Supervisor
£13.00 per hour
Full Time – up to 48 hours per week, 5 days per week over 7 days
Shift patterns will include 05:30am – 04:00pm + 10:00am – 21:00pm
Weekend work involved
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing of delivery and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team. You will be a key contact to both our customers and partners.
Heavy lifting, handling and carrying of products is part of this role and you will be required to support loading vehicles as and when needed.
With the customer at the heart of all we do, you will ensure that exceptional customer service is delivered at every stage.
About the role:
We work in partnership with a well-known global furniture brand retailer and are looking for people who are confident in dealing with customers and who prefer an active role!
As part of the Site Management team you will be responsible for ensuring that the administration and operational needs of the site are met. The role will support the Site Operations Manager to achieve our KPI targets and business goals.
About You:
- Common sense and a can do attitude
- Experience of planning routes (HDX, Paragon or similar)
- Good level of IT proficiency
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Reasonable knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices
- Confident with dealing with customer queries.
- Good time management
- Excellent communication skills
Due to the required heavy lifting you will need to have a good level of fitness however there is appropriate equipment to assist when required.
A driving licence is not required for this role but if you do have one, then we may, when needed require you to drive on behalf of the business. So we will need you to submit or share a Driving Licence Check. Interviews will be conducted by the Site Operations Manager, and will include general questions about your experience, some competency and scenario questions and time with your potential new team.
