  • If the shifts for this role cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you will need to be at least 18 years of age.

Job Description:

As an Online Assistant at Sainsbury’s, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the high-quality service and products they expect from us. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines and working efficiently as part of a supportive team are crucial to success.

Key Responsibilities:

Van Loading & Manual Handling: Safely and efficiently load vans with customer orders, lifting weights of up to 15kg. Accuracy and care are essential to ensure our customers receive their items in perfect condition.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to overcome challenges, support one another, and meet daily performance and delivery targets.

Picking & Packing: Be multiskilled in picking products for both customer shopping orders and on-demand delivery services, ensuring accuracy, quality, and freshness of items selected.

Driving & Delivery Support: A valid driving licence is mandatory, as you’ll be trained to serve as a backup delivery driver, stepping in when needed to help deliver orders directly to our customers’ doors.

What We’re Looking For:

Comfortable lifting and moving up to 15kg regularly.

A reliable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

A full UK driving licence (manual) – essential for backup delivery responsibilities.
