We are currently looking for full time early year practitioners to join our friendly and professional team. The full time position would be to work 5 days per week.
It is essential that you hold a childcare qualification level 2 or above and have at least 1 year experience in working with children in a nursery setting between the ages of 0-5 years old. You will also need to be able to go through an Enhanced DBS check and be willing to obtain a Paediatric First Aid certificate if you do not already have one.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe
- Ensure that all children receive a rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Observe, support and be able to extend children's learning.
- Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
- Ensure that all legislation in relation to special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with.
The ideal applicant:
· Must be at least Level 2 qualified in childcare
· An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
· Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
