Night Textile Operative.
This is a hands-on role supporting the blending of raw materials and the baling of finished product — ideal for someone who enjoys routine, physical work in a manufacturing environment.
Hours - 6pm-6am Monday to Wednesday - 36 working hours per week, however you will be paid for 40 hours per week, equivalent hourly rate would be £13.43
1 week of training on 6am-2pm shift is required before moving to night shift please be aware!
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate blending and baling machinery safely and efficiently
- Load raw materials into machines according to production specs
- Monitor mixing processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Operate baling equipment to package materials for dispatch
- Perform regular quality checks and record results accurately
- Report any machinery issues or irregularities promptly
- Keep work area clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Follow all health & safety guidelines
- Support other departments and help with stock control/material movement when needed
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a textile or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable with good timekeeping
