Your role will be to be guided by the leadership team and includes the smooth running of the home and quality day to day care for the children we look after. In your role you will be working directly with the children as part of a small team. You will ensure the home meets the quality care standards set out by the Childrens home Regulation 2015 and work in line the companies policies and procedures. We aspire for our children having an outstanding experience while in our care.
You will need to have exceptional communication skills, a creative and solution focussed outlook, be able to take a lead and work as part of the team, demonstrate on- going professional development, care about the difference you make and demonstrate positive behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide a safe, supportive and loving home for the children in our care to live in
- Be pro-active in the day to day running of the home
- To maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home.
- To be involved in the development and implementation of care plans
- Keep quality records in the home, write and deliver reports when required
- Conduct yourself within the guidelines of the establishment. Demonstrate positive and learning behaviours that the children might be positively influenced by.
- To promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the home
- Ensure health and safety standards are monitored and achieved in the home
- To participate in general activities in and out of the home.
- Build trusting and professional relationships with the children and young people
- Work in partnership with families, social workers and other professionals
- Respond to safeguarding concerns and report inline with the homes safeguarding protocol
- Be aspirational for children and maximise positive outcomes for each child
