POST TITLE: Support Worker (Forrest House). This post will cover nightshift duties from the hours of 9pm to 7am. This is a lone working post with a sleepover person on site.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager/ deputy manager / senior on duty
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
At Rotary Residential and Care Centres we have over 60 years’ experience in the provision of care and support for adults with Cerebral Palsy and similar disabilities.
Providing person centred care and support with a focus on maximising the skills of adults with Cerebral Palsy and neurological conditions meeting the physical needs of the service user. You will be required to work as part of the staff team (all grades) to provide high quality care and support and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for service users.

Duties of the Post:
To carry out all duties in accordance with the organisational and operational policies and procedures of the Rotary Residential and Care Centres (RRCC).
Adhering to the principles outlined in the Scottish Social Services Code of Practice and the Health and Social Care Standards relevant to the service.
These documents highlight responsibilities associated with, and the attitude and approach required for, working in a care setting and supported living.
This role includes sleep over duties.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a support worker is essential.
Enthusiasm in providing care to a very high standard with a focus on positive outcomes for the individual service user
A kind, caring, and nurturing attitude
A flexible approach with a strong team ethos in the delivery of care
It is essential that you can demonstrate your understanding, sensitivity and compassion for others.
Ideally you will have relevant work experience within a community setting, providing
person centered care and support to adults.
Already holds or willing to undergo an enhanced PVG disclosure.
You would be required to register the the Scottish Social Services Council
You would be required to provided 2 professional references one of which must come from your last employer
Able to work using own initiative
Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
High standard of written and spoken communication
Ideally the successful candidate will hold the SVQ or equivalent qualification, but this is not essential as the company will provide this training at a cost to the company.

Students should NOT apply for this post due to the required flexibility with shift pattern. In addition we cannot provided set shifts. Required shifts are provided 6 weeks in advance

Pay: £15.00-£15.11 per hour
