Job Summary
Due to expansion we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will support individuals living with autism and learning disability. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals residing at Conners Place, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their daily activities and overall well-being.
Duties
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Follow person centred care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support with medication management as directed by healthcare providers.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during visits.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Skills
- Experience in care or working within a nursing home setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of care plans is beneficial.
- Familiarity with home care practices will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while prioritising individual needs.
- NVQ Level 2 health and social care will be an advantage.

Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
