Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bengali(Dhakal)-speaking Carer to provide essential support and assistance to one of our Male clients who is Bengali. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role requires a deep understanding of patient care, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, as well as the ability to follow care plans and manage behaviour effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor patient compliance
- Support patients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress
- Engage patients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation
- Implement behaviour management strategies as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individualised care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients
- Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home or hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic first aid is advantageous
- Familiarity with senior care practices, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility tasks
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others

Pay: £14.71-£14.72 per hour
