Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal support and assistance with daily activities.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by helping with mobility and daily living activities.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills to manage documentation and use care management software effectively.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for this role.
