Boughton Lodge Care Home in Kingsthorpe is looking to recruit a Night care assistant to work with our team team of dedicated carers and team leaders. All training opportunities will be provided along your path with us.
- To plan, implement and supervise care in designated area of responsibility.
- To be physically involved in the care of the residents and to meet all service users individual needs, either personally or through delegation.
- To take responsibility for, and effectively supervise the night running of the home, in the absence of the Home Manager and ensure that the care is of a high standard at all times

Are you someone who can lead a busy team of care staff?
Requirements for the position include excellent communication skills with the ability of communicating with people of all levels and needs, and being able to work well within a team and ensuring good practices exist.
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Medication administration
- Team Player
- NVQ Level 2 or working towards
- Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes
- Supervising carer’s bi-monthly (approx. 1-2 carer’s)
- Satisfactory police check and check against the ISA list (where applicable)
- Good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act
Desirable:
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Previous experience of working with assessment and care planning
