Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate efficiently through designated routes.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any discrepancies.
- Assist with heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated.
- Experience in commercial driving is advantageous, along with a good understanding of road safety regulations.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial, including experience in loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the nature of the deliveries.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet delivery demands.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £120.00-£180.00 per day
