The Charity
Community Action Malvern and District aims to prevent older and disabled people becoming isolated and lonely. A team of volunteers and paid staff provide a range of services to meet local needs, including transport services (volunteer cars, wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs) and minibuses) and a Men’s Shed, with a Volunteer Centre to support local voluntary groups. We are delivering demand responsive transport on behalf of Worcestershire County Council as part of our wider Community Transport project which offers a range of services to residents who have no alternative means of transport. This transport complements our community minibus routes, volunteer car scheme and wheelchair car provision as well as current public transport services. All journeys are booked in advance and can be made through digital app or by phone to a booking line.
