Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metalworking and fabrication processes, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. This role involves working with mild steel materials to create components and structures that meet precise specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all fabrication tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use various welding techniques, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely.
- Assemble fabricated parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely, and other fabrication tools.
- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex drawings and schematics.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to assemble components accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
