Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Retail & Medicines Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support within a pharmacy environment. This position involves assisting customers, managing medication requests and ensuring smooth operation of the retail medicines counter. A background in pharmacy or patient care is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries at the counter.
- Process prescription requests and collections accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Provide information on medication administration and self care as needed.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all products are well-stocked and displayed appropriately.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to ensure a seamless service delivery.
- Assist in managing stock levels and placing orders for stock replenishment when necessary.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy retail area.
Skills
- Strong understanding of patient care principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems for processing orders and managing stock.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
